Factory restore iPod Touch 4.

Hi, I'm trying to factory restore the above iPod. Put it into recovery mode and set it going in iTunes. Both have the latest install. The iPod has now exited recovery mode although iTunes is still working. Will it complete, given that it says it will take 21 hours.
